How I dive into Ayurveda after 3 years of dialysis!
The first thing that
ever crosses the mind when one hears of kidney disease is dialysis. I had some
malfunctioning in my kidney function which resulted in creatinine to rise. I
still remember when my creatinine rose to 5.34 in my first reports. I barely
had any sign, but accidentally got to know that my kidney function was not
appropriate. I went for a doctor’s consultation in my neighborhood. Some local
doctors suggested dialysis while some said I should go for transplant surgery.
Having confused, I opted for dialysis because it was still better to have your
organ replaced with someone else’. I am really particular about my health and
so I follow a meticulous lifestyle when it comes to health. I eat in moderation
and try healthy every time. In my case, I can say it was some genetic scene
that played the haunted role. Doctors
say some though kidney diseases are not inherited, some may have it innate with
one of the family members. In my case, my father had to end-stage renal disease
in his late life. He could not survive
the pain and passed away. So, that brought even more stress to me.

Thanks to my healthy
eating habits, my immune system is quite good.
I hardly get any cold or infection or any sort of viral. This was the
only reason I survived 3 years with dialysis when others usually cannot. I am
pretty sure you might have not heard anyone with 3 years of dialysis history
and still survived kidney disease. Apparently, I did and I am proud of that.
In the initial days,
it felt rough having injections being inserted for making fistula and
arrangements. I got used to in the latter days. I was pissed off later but
patient enough like any other kidney patient. Jokes apart. Everything was well until that day when I
started vomiting, felt dizzy in combination with other complications. I asked
my doctor the same and he said, it was because of the body losing proteins
during dialysis. Resultant, I increased my protein intake but got no relief. Having
known this, my friend who lives next to my home said I should go for ayurvedic
treatment.
My hunt for the
ayurvedic treatment started and I landed up to Karma Ayurveda’s website. I will
not say anything about what happened, later on, I mean to go and explore on
your own.
I would only thank
Doctor Puneet Dhawan for his generosity.
